Hey all, 

sorry I only just caught this thread now, so late to the party!

I'm a big fan of DOS based networking and connect to most BBS's from my XT,
which uses mTCP, naturally ;). If you don't know about mTCP, definitely check
that out. I have made a bunch of how-to videos on YT to help get set up. The
all-rounder video shows how toget started if you don't have the software on
your machine (so covering things like sneakernet, laplink cables etc).

I'd personally love to see SyncTERM for MS-DOS that works ontop of mTCP, but I
reckon that would be a fair amount of work. A good compromise would be ZModem
support in mTelnet. Adding TOPAZ support again would be a big ask there. Not
impossible, but for the amount of users on DOS systems that would call Amiga
boards, you'd need a lot of them to warrant such a feature add IMO!
