No but I only want to run one specific android app and it is fine without a touch screen. ;) I live in a program called "Pimlical" and have managed to hack java onto the chroot and use the desktop version that way. The big issue is the lack of certain things in the chroot ie: for some reason it can't launch the "BROWSE" function so I'm un able to sync to google calender. Once I can install the android version on the chromebook I will have access to everything again. Currently syncing calender on a windows box that is in serious need of some TLC. ;) so> You'll find me in mrc chat if you want to chit chat about chromebooks so> or whatever Not real good on a real time chat. I tend to start arguments and I won't back down even when I'm wrong. It's best I stay with echomail where I only blow up a few times a year. ;) so> Major difference between mine and yours would be that I have a Armv7 so> processor. This one is an intel cpu of some type but it's not a new one. :) We bought them (2 of them) because of the 15" screen and the fact that batteries last 12+ hours. Originally purchased one for Andrea because they are so cheap and she only ever uses a web browser anyway. After playing with hers I liked it so much I went and bought myself one. ;) Once I got cups talking to the network printer, ubuntu running under crouton, and libreoffice in that... I had a $250 laptop that preforms better then my 12+ year old laptop (Which runs Ubuntu as well, but will live at the trailer for the trailer season - saves me lugging a laptop back and forth!) so> Last night I had to fsck my micro sdcard with the linux partition. I don't keep anything important on any laptop. Work stuff is in the cloud, calendar backed up on a few devices, if it died now I could re-do everything in about an hour. I do however back the SDCard from the BBS up in an image every week or so. ;) Shawn ....
