Once there's a bit of ANSI, the whole message becomes ANSI.  I think pipe codes
can also be converted to ANSI under some circumstances.  But either way,
colours in sigs are a bad idea, because of this.

And for those of uss with offline mail, while we can read ANSI messages,
replying can often be an issue, because when we quote a message, it's full of
ANSI codes, which renders the quoting useless.  The proper fix here is for the
offline reader to be able to strip ANSI from quoted text, or offer an optional
ANSI text editor.


.... It's nothing that a warm-boot can't fix...
