Subj : Mario 64 Maker To : All From : Necromaster Date : Tue Sep 19 2017 19:12:02 In late 2015 Nintendo unleashed their most creative title to date for the Nintendo Wii U in Mario Maker. The incredible suite of level building tools not only inspired countless level designers around the world, but also brought along a multitude of new levels to the Mushroom Kingdom. Although unofficial, the Nintendo 64 is about to get the same treatment through the newly released Super Mario 64 Maker. Super Mario 64 Maker aims to provide those interested in ROM hacking a decent entry level solution to creating their very own 3D worlds. Upon booting up the ROM you'll be welcomed by an all new title screen and then instantly whisked away to an empty scene awaiting your command. Using just the control pad alone you can cycle through a wide selection of in-game objects, platforms, and enemies, all of which can be placed anywhere you wish. Although rather fiddly to get the hang of, those eager to build their own Super Mario 64 levels will no doubt get to grips with the editor in no time. Several levels sculpted with the Super Mario 64 Maker suite have already been shared online via the ROM hack's submission page, whilst others are being encouraged to create save states of their work and upload them too. A download link for Super Mario 64 Maker has been shared within the release trailer's video description, along with a few pointers in regards to setting up the Nintendo 64 emulator Project 64. We briefly tried booting the ROM hack on the original hardware using a 64drive flash cartridge, but we're disappointed to report that this is exclusive to emulators for the time being. --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A35 (Windows/64) * Origin: Necronomicon BBS - necrobbs.strangled.net (80:774/0) .
