Yes I've heard that. I wouldn't want the chips to go out since they are hard
to find items. This is actually why I would look at additional cooling
strategies.

Actually, I did replace the power supply, its one of those new ones which
uses a fraction of the parts and produces no heat. I feel better as yeah,
those older ps could just fail and take out the chips.

Oh nice, yeah I wanted order one of those. Limited stock and all. I use an
SD2IC but the ultimate.. well, would be the ultimate ;) I'll ask Santa I
think..
