piLFS is the Raspberry Pi implementation of LFS (Linux From Scratch) a
distribution you build from source code using your current Raspbian or other
armv6/7/8 linux system then move to a SD card and boot from the piLFS
operating system to build whatever packages you need. It gives you total
control over what packages get installed based on your needs.. It's totally
perfect for a BBS since you don't need to compile Xorg/Wayland cuz every
linux BBS that people use runs in console mode. so you aren't bloated with
packages and redundant dependencies that you will never use. saves space on
the SD cuz that technology really hasn't progressed much.. I've only seen
64GB SD cards around my area so less bloat = more space for BBS :D
