In GoldEd/GoldEd+, there are options to replace "---" and "*" with "-+-" and
"+".  Just a humble suggestion.  If you just add a ">", the origin line
will uasually still be intrepreted.  If you look in my replies to test
messages in here using MultiMail, I manally modify the quoted origin and
tear lines.
