I opted for proftpd as well and use its "virtual user" functionality. With hpt I just need to tell it to put everything in a filebox for that node or point: link Test Node aka 618:400/23 ouraka 618:400/1 packer none password
flavour hold accessgrp C filebox /home/ubuntu/fido/filebox/micronet_z618n400n23/out fileboxalways on tickerpacktobox on The only "gotcha" is for some reason hpt will only put echomail, tic files & their associated files in the filebox. Netmail is still packed to the regular outbound, but it's easy enough to watch for those files and move them to the filebox, e.g: [ -f ~/fido/outbound.26a/01900017.hut ] && mv ~/fido/outbound.26a/01900017.hut ~/fido/filebox/micronet_z618n400n23/out/$(gnmsgid).pkt The ftp home directory is (chroot'ed to) ~/fido/filebox/micronet_z618n400n23, hpt puts everything in ./out and I link ./in to hpt's secure inbound. I use .ftpaccess files to make sure they can't write to ./ or ./out (but can delete files from ./out). For ./in I make sure they can't see or read any files but are able up upload (but not overwrite) files. I still need to find a way to create a semaphore file when someone logs out of proftd. There is an "ExecOnExit" but these are limited to the user's chrooted path. Jay ....
