Subj : Other Ham Radio News To : All From : Daryl Stout Date : Tue Jun 08 2021 18:01:25 Well, I've fixed the audio issue with the headset mic, to where I can do my ham radio nets after all. Unfortunately, I can't control the weather (my late mother-in-law said "you'll be [pooping] in high grass if you could" (hi hi))...and between severe weather (tornado warnings to my southwest yesterday) plus flash flood warnings and emergencies yesterday and today (some areas of southeast Arkansas got over 15 inches of rain today, and it's still pouring)...I've had little time to work on the computer. The weather also means it's a "net time decision" on whether I can do my nets...even with REDUCING the early checkin time to only 30 minutes instead of one hour. But, no amount of surge protection will protect you from a direct or close lightning strike.
