I went thru the config.  I really liked the step-by-step system  
for config.  I *think* I established a "test1:" as my encrypted  
remote, but when I went to use it:

c:\rclone copy \temp\xxxx test1:\temp\archive

...everything in \temp\archive was in the clear.
