When differential images are taken against the full image the program reads the hash table and checks the image. If by some highly unlikely chance it is in fact bad or the hash table cannot be read the entire backup fails, an errorlevel is set and the script alerts my attention. As I just explained that I'm backing up to both a local NAS and have basic practice of off-site rotation, its impossible for me to be left with a backup set that cannot be restored.
