Subj : Weird To : All From : Sean Dennis Date : Thu Apr 25 2019 18:33:30 Hello All, So I struggled and struggled to get Slackware 14.2 on this HP EliteDesk 705 SFF I have. It has onboard AMD graphics which can be a terrible pain. I decided to re-download the ISO and start fresh. Lo and behold, it worked! I couldn't figure out why... ....until I did a distro upgrade. For some reason, the official torrent I used said it was for 14.2-stable but instead I downloaded -current (the testing version). I downloaded 14.2-stable from another place, made sure that was right, and tried to boot that computer up with that...no-go. Something's changed in -current to make things work so I'll leave it be even though I loathe running -current...but Slackware 15 will be out soon so I'll just run this until 15 gets here. It's funny how you can get things to work sometimes even though you didn't mean to... Later, Sean ....
