Likewise.. I have always had a fondness for images. That has  
simplified restorting to a pc that might have needed a new HDD  
on the same HW.

Yup. The plan is to first clone the original HDD onto the SDD,  
resize the current C partition from its current 35GB to  
something like 60GB, and then do a similar resize operation on  
the H partition, and then drop it into my T60 laptop.

Right.  That ain't gonna happen.

At best, I would consider migrating to Win7 and take advantage  
of TRIM.
