Porting everything over to a newer Win would be troublesome.   
The T60 is maxed at 3GB ram as well, so it can't really support  
Win7 for example.  (But maybe that would be worth a try) - I've  
witnessed a Dell Optiplex with 2GB ram and hosting Win7 - it's  
not too bad in performance.

And.. the linux option is out of the question. I need to  
maintain a current workflow especially with MS Access 2007.
