My Aunt does this.  She likes the look & feel of Apple products but has never taken the time to learn MacOS.

She had a MacBook which I helped her install Windows on, but then screen wasn't big enough.  So instead of just getting a docking station or plugging a monitor into it, she went out and bought a 27" iMac.  Then I get the call to come over & help put Windows on it...
