Another reason is that these days, people are lazy and want everything done
for them which makes switching to Linux more difficult.  Microsoft seems to
be more interested in fluff and pretty pictures rather than building a
solid, reliable OS.

Then again, Windows is no longer Microsoft's breadwinner so it's been
delegated to a dusty corner with R&D.
