All mine are TOTP & are backed up to the cloud.  I learned that lesson the
hard way as well.

Typing backup codes all day is not my idea of a fun time.

I've been notified I've been part of so many data breaches that I have free
credit monitoring from both TransUnion & Equifax for the next ~10 years!

Came in handy when someone decided to apply for a Wal-Mart MasterCard in my
name one a day for 5 days straight.
