OMV is the same way with the GUI but it is designed to allow some usefulness at a shell prompt.  For me, I'd still probably just use its built-in webserver to do what I need.

I was digging around the shack the other day and found an unused WD 2TB hard drive.  I guess the file server was meant to be. :P
