I've seen doing that via Crouton and being able to "sideload" Slackware on it 
too.  For my needs, that would just be too much work.  By the time I get done 
with work when I'm traveling, I'm dead tired, and all I want to do is check 
the BBS, my email, maybe surf the Web a little, and use Teamviewer to help fix 
friends' and family's computers if need be.  I also like the only moving part 
in my Lenovo is the CPU fan and the Lenovo's case has been "hardened".

But the Chromebook is on backorder as of yesterday, sigh.
