Subj : fibre experience, anyone? To : Tiny From : August Abolins Date : Mon Apr 22 2024 08:31:00 Hello Tiny! T> ...But I /had/ cable internet for 8 years in this T> apartment. Just with their "Fido" reseller not with the T> big name of Rogers. Then it was some undisclosed politics/competition/avoidance going on? I *think* that there is something similar in my case. The two "available" ports are probably anticipated future connections for a new library building where that pole is - one for the library and one for the residential units in the planned upper floor. However.. the library/residential building hasn't broken ground yet and it will probably take two yrs build. AA>> I think I will just switch to mobile. I don't need AA>> streaming, and I can get up to 35Mbps for less than what AA>> fibre would cost T> If you don't do a whole lot that's probably the way to go T> for you. I use mobile when we're in the woods and while I T> don't stream (much) I also don't really watch my bandwith T> and I've never even come close to the monthly limit. What is your monthly limit there? Do you get a hard cut-off when you reach the cap? Yea.. I don't really need the "unlimited" aspect that most homeowners would want. -- ../|ug --- OpenXP 5.0.58 * Origin: (} Pointy McPointface (618:250/1.9) .
