Subj : fibre experience, anyone? To : Tiny From : August Abolins Date : Sun Apr 21 2024 10:53:00 Hello Tiny! T> various tech's (as like you my address was wrong - in my case missing T> apartment number) they told me my FLOOR wasn't supported. T> So floors 1-8 and 10-12 are supported, just not floor 9. The same floor T> I had cable internet on for 8 years. The same floor my neighbour across T> the hall from me has ignite on. THAT is totally weird! Maybe there was a physical routing issue? They are not supposed to cross or passthru an existing property whether it is another apartment or another building. T> Switched to Bhell fibe.... it works. $30 more a month. Even though I pay T> for a fast connection downloads are much slower then they were on Fido. I'm not interested in paying more. The whole "deal" for fibre was that I would get 25Mbps unlimited UL and DL for what I am now paying for 5Mbps unlimited DL and 1Mbps UL unlimited with DSL, which is approx $42/mo and paid in advance for the whole year! June 16 is the end of the current DSL contract, so I am compelled to make some kind of decision before they auto-charge my credit card for the DSL price. I think I will just switch to mobile. I don't need streaming, and I can get up to 35Mbps for less than what fibre would cost me if I subscribe to luckymobile.ca. No wires, and I can feed my network with a ZTE or Netgear, both 4G-capable routers. -- ../|ug --- OpenXP 5.0.58 * Origin: (} Pointy McPointface (618:250/1.9) .
