If memory serves, the next assistant was in uniform for the first
season and was promoted when the first one went to work in another
country. They were both pretty ladies but the second sergeant was
a bit 'softer' looking, not quite as thin and sharp featured as
the original one (Sara Martins - Portugese but grew up in France).

Plus the new one was usually running around, even on duty, in
very short shorts and skirts..    B)

Josephine Jobert is her name, listed as a French actress/singer..
