The jacket summary of the book refers to the murderbot as an  
android.  In the story the murderbot clearly distinguishes  
itself from augmented humans, but the difference is not (yet)  
clear.  Maybe book 2 will clarify the matter more.

The murderbot speaks of itself having "human parts".  How that  
works, is not clear.  But the cyborg needs charging and rest.   
It's kinda like an advanced version of the famous depressed  
robot, Marvin in the Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy.
