I understand completely.  Due to lousy healthcare by a VA doctor, I'll be
losing my right foot later this year.  I do have a great medical team now
and I have learned to be my own advocate--including getting different
clinics to talk to each other so they don't kill me with conflicting
treatments--and I get things done.

Have you tried talking to a VSO to see if you can get more chicken scratch
out of the VA?
