It ws a 1995.  No ABS, no airbags.

It was determined that it was a short in the transmission's external control 
systems (solenoids, et cetera) that caused the fire.  The Pathfinder sat for 
over teo years in my parents' "back 40" and all we can figure is some critter 
ate through some wiring and it shorted out against the transmission's bell 
housing.
