"and get healthier" ..may be the key. I have an aunt that underwent unclogging of one her carotid arteries. I think it was the one on the right-side. She has been a chain-smoker most of her life. The doc said to quit that shit, and stop topping up everything with mayonnaise at every meal. She paused smoking while the neck scar was healing, but she soon resumed after that. That was about 20 years ago. She was only 60 then. She never adjusted her eating plan to help avoid further problems. But she DID start to develop arthritis about 8 years after surgery, continued to smoke (and even resorted to the cheaper ones from a native reserve - to "save" money) ..but is now essentially house-bound, needs a walker, is practically in constant pain and cannot go out anywhere unless there is a LOT of assistance. Sadly, she did not get herself "together". At one point I started to develop arthiritic symptoms too. But looking into it, I discovered there was a strong correlation with too much potassium. Once I reduced potassium significantly (apparently my body cannot tolerate more than 1 banana per day) ...the arthritic episodes disappeared. That was 8-10 years ago. -- ../|ug --- OpenXP 5.0.51 * Origin: The LOOK of MicroNET https://kolico.ca/ftn/micronet (618:250/1.9) .
