Go to snow country and you're surrounded by Subarus. Their AWD is pretty 
amazing. When my Prius finally bites it, I'll probably get an Outback.

My wife and I bought her an Acura MDX, they have a computer-controlled AWD 
system that sounds like the Subaru system that monitors conditions and 
automatically adjusts where the power goes, instead of waiting until the 
wheels slip.
