i'm changing my outlook now that i'm middle aged. the first half of my adult life wasn't working for me. i'm going to focus on being happy.
not happy that i have a job.  fuck that.

at the job i quit they gave us a huge paycut and fired a ton of people.
then they said "at least you had a job" they said that.  and a guy brought up how the execs gave themselves a huge raise and that guy got sent to HR and got a week off as punishment.

each time we got a paycut, they would point out that the CEO and the COO took paycuts too.  what they didnt mention is that they got the board to vote them a raise 2 months beforehand.  this is a matter of public record and happened every time.  i told everybody this.

Another time which made me make a mental note is when we were at a meeting and the president of the company tells a story.  he is with a distributer at his new house and the guy has his kid there.  while these guys ignore the kid, he drowns in the pool.

This president of the company said some crazy shit that we should pay the kid homage by doing well this quarter.  that was the most fucked up shit i ever heard.

So i'm going to be happy and spend time with my god daughter. I'm going to pay my bills.   I have no problem finding employment because i'm a valuable person with skills and a hard worker.  If I'm not at a company and it's not working out, i'm going to end that relationshit.
