There is a very simple solution to that:

(1) Public affairs issues are off-topic.
(2) All discussions should be carried out in a civil manner (for some ¨    definition of civility that does not encompass your own idiosyncratic
    bullshit).
(3) Just because you think something is a public affair and/or offensive
    does not make it so.
(4) ******** if you dont like it.

Or, as a modification to (1):

(1a) Public affairs are off-limits unless they have direct impact on the ¨     stated purpose of the forum, and even then you are not permitted to argue
     in favor of positions that damage the ability of the forum to continue
     operating.

That latter rule is the one more or less used by certain forums that operate ¨as rally-points for certain politicians... sometimes stated openly, but ¨usually not. There is no problem really if they are open about it, but those ¨who run around pretending they are open to everyone but then proving otherwise ¨can eat a dick.

At the end of the day they can have their gay little network if they want it.
I mean at this point what does it even matter when there arent that many ¨people calling or posting anymore anyway?
