I think youn had already mentioned this to me. Sorry for the loss.

My neighbor has a gelding who was very protective of the herd foals. Once I was
approaching one of the foals, wearing a new raincoat. I had also switched
my deodorant brand. The gelding didn't recognize me and charged me with the
intention of turning me into a stain on the floor. I said to him "It's me, you
sucker!" and he stopped cold. Then he trotted close and asked me for pats :-S
