yeah they are.

they actually destroyed a bunch of turkeys because they were approaching people.  it's because people fed them.  they would also block traffic unti they were fed.  turkeys are actually smart.  they also can be nasty and have a pretty large spur on the back of their feet.

i had a turkey that would defend my yard during the day because i fed him.  i was wearing winter gear for heavy duty snow removal and he attacked me and scared the shit out of me.  they launch right at you.  i took off my mask and hood and he realized it was me and stopped.

i think someone killed this guy. he was cool.  he would fight groups of people too.   other people reported that people would kick the turkeys for fun and it wasn't their fault for fighting people.
