I retained a lawyer, who felt I had a good case, and she and her paralegals have guided me through my case.  If I am denied this appeal, I will go before an administrative law judge also.  Everyone I know who is on Social Security has had to go through that step.  I am sure I will win ... just time.

By law, a SS lawyer is paid either 1/4 of your backpay or $6000, whichever is greater.  So it's guaranteed income for them.

I am really chomping at the bit to get my power scooter though.  I'll be much more mobile then and can take the bus without discomfort.  It'd be nice to make quick trips to Dollar General also.
