Aren't there alternative formulations?  Of course, the  
suspension/preservative/ingredients could be changing from year  
to year, and batch to batch.

I was going to ask where is that particular shot supposed to be  
administered - the neck?  Sounds like her whole muscle system  
is affected.

But good to hear she's doing better already. She will certainly  
forgive you as soon as the pain and discomfort is history and  
as long as you distract her with treats and the best food. :D
