Yes, once the heat pumps are on "auxilary heat", which around here is pretty much half of the winter, that is like running your stove and 50 hair dryers. It uses tons of power to keep things even modestly warm. For the climate around here, I would rather use pretty much anything other than a heat pump. I do lots of Intel/AMD and NVidia heating in my house. I cut a hole in the air return in the basement and when the fan runs, it pulls the heat our of my server room and sends it through the house. The upstairs gets auxilary heat from my PC with 4 video cards. I have a fan that blows all the heat out of my home office into the rest of the upstairs.
