As you may know, some Fidonet echos are represented via Telegram. There is zero-possibility of trash as you call it. First, the echos are established as PRIVATE groups which means that the general Telegram public or bot system won't find them - and therefore, no chance for spam. Second, once a user establishes a link to an echo, then it is impossible for that same person (should they prove to be a problem) to arbirarily change IDs and rejoin the echo and pretend to be someone else. This is because every Telegram ID is tied to one phone number for the initial install. When a user is blocked, there is no way that same person/ID can rejoin the echo unless they change numbers. And Telegram has guard against virtual (throw-away) phone numbers. SD> As for IRC, there is an official Micronet channel, SD> #micronet, on irc.bbses.info:6667 (SSL: 6669). I'll have to give it a shot. But I'll have to find a good client that can work with XP (my preferred machine).
