I have never really been too much into Halloween because of my 
upbringing though I do enjoy "the holidays" (Halloween, Thanksgiving, 
and Christmas).  I like to decorate for each holiday.  I hope this year 
I will be able to put a Christmas tree up in my living room window.  I 
have been spending my holidays alone for a long time now so I am happy 
to be able to celebrate them.

I do get thanked quite often for my service in public (I wear a hat 
that reads "US Army Veteran" and one that shows the Army Field 
Artillery crossed-cannon symbol and says "ARTILLERY").  Johnson City is 
more liberal and people whine when such things are celebrated but they 
are celebrated ... just stay away from the ETSU campus. LOL
