There was no shortage of them shooting them off in my neighborhood, for at least 8 hours...from way before sunset, to well after midnight. I was terrified that my lawn or roof would be set on fire from errant sparks. I was a nervous wreck, and didn't sleep well last night as a result. Even if you imposed a huge tax on the vendors and on the product, folks would find a way to get the money. If your property is damaged or destroyed by a fire started by the pyrotechnics, you have no recourse. Never mind that folks who have PTSD, or pets who are hypersensitive to sudden noises, are nervous wrecks. The folks who set these off are totally selfish, and have no consideration for these other individuals. Even if there was a banishment on sale, possession, or use of them, folks would find a way to acquire them...the same with illegal drugs. Daryl .... Floggings will continue until morale improves. === MultiMail/Win v0.52 --- SBBSecho 3.14-Win32 * Origin: The Thunderbolt BBS - Little Rock, Arkansas (618:250/33) .
