Subj : covid go away day To : Sean Dennis From : August Abolins Date : Sat Jun 12 2021 21:40:00 Hello Sean Dennis! ** On Saturday 12.06.21 - 01:24, you wrote to me: SD> ..I do not know if you follow American news but it has SD> recently been revealed that our "esteemed" Dr. Anthony SD> Fauci long ago said in email(s) that he believed that SD> masks were not effective for the general public, only SD> those who had an activ COVID-19 infection. These emails SD> were released due to a FOIA* request so the cat is out of SD> the bag, if you will. Yes.. I heard about the leaked emails. The same attitude about the masks was shared by Canada's "top" (gov't appointed spokespersons) doctors too. First they said, masks are ineffective. Then they said only the N95 ones are worthy to consider, then they said "face coverings" of some kind are better then none, and then they even suggested that a double layer of the cheap surgical ones would be a good minimum SD> It is my hope that your business will pick up and you will SD> once again be making money from not only the tourists that SD> flow through your store but locals also. Thanks. I get people coming in and saying "I'm so glad that you are still here and open!" But the reality is that I've accumulated more debt and losses. Not sure if I should just walk away from that whole effort to some restoration. There is absolutely no way that I could make up for the losses and new debts two years into this economic homicide imposed by the hand of the gov't. SD> It is estimated that these needless lockdowns have caused SD> the failure of 60% of the small businesses in the US-- SD> including my own--and these businesses will never return. SD> Because of the sophistry of those who would wish us harm, SD> many people suffered from this terrible situation and not SD> just the ones who needlessly died. There was no need for "failure" of businesses. The businesses did not ask for their business models to be interfered with by lockdown measures - yet MEANWHILE, creditors and banks were untouchable? SD> Anyhow, off of my soapbox. I hope it's a return to a SD> semblance of normalcy for you. Unfortunately, I think in SD> both of our countries, our governments are not letting a SD> crisis go to waste and are attempting, though SD> unsuccessfully, at a power grab. Thanks for the hope for my biz to return to a point that might care about it. I'm just so angry at the gov't. They're certainly not going to get an tax dollar out of a biz that reports losses in the last 2 years and now perhaps beyond - which is all their doing. Not sure what you mean by a power grab. -- ../|ug --- OpenXP 5.0.50 * Origin: (} Pointy McPointface (618:250/1.9) .
