Yeah, I don't think most of us had the full story back then. For several years, I would convert any ARC and ZIP files on the BBS to ARJ or LZH, partially because I was running on a system with limited disk space and those usually made smaller files. I think I quit doing that when I started adding CD ROM collections and/or when Windows pretty much made ZIP the standard. By then, I had a bigger HD, too.
