Which reminds me..  Why does does "Sean" take the exception to  
sound like "Shawn", when almost all the other <consonant>EAN  
versions are pronounced with the long "e" = EE

   BEAN = bAWn?  nope, it's = bEEn
   DEAN = dAWn?  nope, it's = dEEn
   JEAN = jAWN?  nope, it's = jEEn
   LEAN = lAWn?  nope, it's = lEEn
   MEAN = mAWn?  nope, it's = mEEn
   WEAN = wAWn?  nope, it's = wEEn

   SEAN = sEEn?  <G>

   if not, then

   SEAN = shAWn, which implies SEAN = SHAWN  :)
