10/2 is slow?  Ha!  Try 5/.8 on DSL at my shop in town.  
Apparently Bell caps the max speed to 5 DL for EVERYONE in town!  
even though the service I'm with can offer higher speeds.  But,  
at $35/mo Unlimited, I'm fine.

Yeah.. but $1100/yr for internet seems too much for "data".

Couldn't you get by with a modest mobile/data plan?  Many offer  
unlimited data or quite a bit of GIGS for $60/mo at LTE speeds.  
That would be half of what Nomad charges.
