I remember when I was a teenager, we were going to a youth conference for the church I was in at the time.  This years location happened to be about a 6 hour drive away.  I don't normally get car sick, but I was feeling pretty green that day.  One of the adults in the car gave me something to help with the nausea (Gravol a.k.a Dramamine).

Like you I was out like a light after taking that, and even better I slept the entire 6 hours.  All I remember is being woken up by one of my friends saying "we're here, get up!" - It was quite disorienting, but also a relief I didn't have to experience that long car trip.  :)
