No, it's the exact opposite in the US.  Then it's "talk to your doctor
to see if <drug> is right for YOU."  A lot of people don't realize that
in the US, doctors are paid to prescribe brand-name drugs.  It's a
really dirty business.  Makes the Mafia look honest by comparison.
