Subj : another speaker I always To : August Abolins From : Kevin Nunn Date : Wed Jan 20 2021 13:11:57 -=> AUGUST ABOLINS wrote to KEVIN NUNN <=- AA> Too bad you can't experience that equipment to its fullest. Very true and I hope so as well. I doubt I will ever have a home to myself again, but a duplex is definite possible and I could probably exercise the system in something like that. The 10" I have is very good for movies and such, but I don't think it really added a lot to the music I listen too, but I also am not sure if I ever gave it a chance to air-out. But at $3K/pair, they are a bit out of reach. I just watched Audiophiliac's episode about large speakers and he has those Cornwall IV's and I was drooling just looking at them. But like you, I can't afford a pair (yet - I will always leave a bit of hope that someday I will). I have found that I really can enjoy a decent set of headphones or IEM's. Sure you don't have the chest slapping bass, but it is still a very satisfying experience and it doesn't annoy anyone (except the person knocking on the door that you can't hear).
