There seems to be even more brands of speakers out there than in the past. My first pair of monitor/shelf design were the Realistic Minimus series in the 80s. Technically, they were the same as the Kosch of the same type, made in the same factories, but branded as Realistic. I purchased 2 pairs of the larger Minimus-77; at over $100 each, they were still quite good. Later, I procured 2 pairs of the smaller Minimus-7 when they were reduced to under $50/pr and just before being phased out. Over time, the larger ones rotted out around the woofers. The smaller Minimus 7 still boasts a good balance of sound. My plan was to employ them in a surround-sound project that never really got started. They are amazing little speakers, encased in solid steel and weigh fairly heavy for their size. -- ../|ug --- OpenXP 5.0.48 * Origin: (} Pointy McPointface (618:250/1.9) .
