My current apartment is a testing ground for me to see what I could
afford and I wanted to find someplace quiet. So thankfully I found a
small group of 1 bedroom places. It is quiet and gated, so I try to
help keep it that way (quiet). 

I play trombone as well, so all my practicing as of late has been with
a "silent mute". In 2021 I hope to find a 2 bedroom, single floor
duplex with a bedroom on the end. That could be my trombone room and
listening room. Well clear of the neighbor.

I would have thought that too, my first though was the coil hitting the
magnet. But without the surround it probably was off center.

These days I do enjoy seeing other peoples systems. I found a guy on
youtube that shows high end systems, and I mean high end. Systems over
50k upwards to 200-300k It's fun to see how other people spend all
their gobs of cash LOL.
