I don't use it to play the local files. I would use iTunes' player instead. Infact, I haven't been playing any of my local files because the new music discovery with Spotify is so much more fun. But the prices of $20+ is a bit steep, I would think. But I'd love to play some old LPs. But I just really need a new cartridge.
