Whenever I get that message " would like to recall the message " I always laugh and make it a point to find the message and read it. You can use Outlook as a client for Gmail. It works ok. I think Gmail's web interface is pretty good, but there are utilities like Mailplane for Gmail that add more functionality. Gmail's ability to search is really good. When I was forced in the opposite direction (converstion from Gmail to O365) I really missed the Gmail Search. Both O365 and Gmail are fine email / office suite offerings.
