When I realized that I could build a rather large selection of music on an MP3 disc, I rarely needed to switch discs. Before acquiring a vehicle that had a decent MP3-capable player, I tried the FM-transmitter method. It wasn't bad for podcasts, but it was very poor quality for music. Some engine noise/static was always present. Later, I found an audio port in the center console storage unit to which I could feed the audio-out from my iPod that was plugged and powered by the cigarette lighter. Switching the radio to AUX- IN produced very nice results. Before acquiring the said same vehicle above, a previous vehicle just had a CD-player, but music always skipped every time I made a left turn. Arghhhhh! It was rectified at the next service call, but I had to live with it for months prior. -- ../|ug --- OpenXP 5.0.48 * Origin: (} Pointy McPointface (618:250/1.9) .
