With a sole exception, the Russkies in Fido have always hated me.  I think
they're xenopohobic to an extreme these days but even before their war, they
hated me because I wouodn't kowtow to their arrogance (see Alexey on the
FTSC for a good current example),

While I am painting with a very broad brush here, most of the Europeans
(including Russians in this) I have run into in Fidonet seem to be
xenophobic, arrogant, and generally unpleasant to be around.  Doesn't bother
me anymore.
